Adret magazine

2026 / editorial

ADRET is an independent editorial project rooted in the Val de Bagnes, exploring the mountain as a living territory shaped by nature, culture and human experience. Rather than focusing solely on Verbier, it opens a wider perspective on the valley, its villages, landscapes, communities and traditions.

Its name comes from traditional Alpine vocabulary: adret describes the sun-facing side of a mountain, in contrast to the shaded ubac. This duality becomes a metaphor for the magazine — a way of observing the different sides of the same territory and the relationship between landscape and those who inhabit it.

Each issue follows a different season through photography, contemporary editorial design and craftsmanship. The first edition explores winter beyond snow and skiing, focusing on slower rhythms, memory, domestic life and embroidery, while tactile details and material experimentation turn the magazine into an object to experience, touch and collect.
